Kettleman City, California – Bravo Farms Gift Shop
There is not many places that are more boring to drive through than Central California. Everywhere you look it seems to be flat and brown. You can see the Sierra Nevada range in the distance teasing and enticing you, but only on a clear day.
Granted, there are a few places along the way that you can stop and break up the monotony and Bravo Farms in Kettleman City is one of them. Bravo farms Gift Shop is probably one of the largest and most entertaining gift shops I have ever seen. If that’s not enough, they actually have RV parking where you can spend the night – FREE. But wait, there’s more… they even have a small fenced in dog park so your dogs can stretch their legs.
So, if you are midway up or down I-5 in California, this may be the oasis you were looking for. As for the rest of Kettleman City… it has a couple of restaurants and gas stations but the truth is, we didn’t explore it much… we were having too much fun in the gift shop!
